Maddox’s Legacy of Hope

In lieu of flowers, the family encourages honoring Maddox’s legacy by supporting the POLG Foundation through a memorial donation, helping advance research and awareness for POLG-related disorders.

Our son, Maddox, was born on January 24, 2025, and in the short time we were blessed to have him with us, he filled our lives with more love than we ever thought possible. Maddox passed away on December 21, 2025, after bravely fighting POLG. For many families like ours, the diagnosis comes suddenly and the progression is heartbreaking.

Although Maddox’s life was far too short, his impact on us and everyone who loved him will last forever. In his honor, we are supporting the POLG Foundation to help raise awareness, fund research, and move closer to treatments and a cure so that other families may one day be spared the pain of this disease.

Every donation, share, and message of support helps bring hope to families facing POLG and keeps Maddox’s memory alive.

Thank you for honoring our son and helping us turn our grief into purpose.
