Catherine Vassallo

Catherine has had more than 30 years of experience spanning finance, international business, philanthropy, and healthcare-related initiatives. She was the co-founder of Credere Capital LLP, a hedge fund where she has led global business development and capital raising activities, building an extensive international network of institutional and private investors. Alongside her financial career, Catherine has supported a wide range of charitable, medical, educational, and cultural projects, raising funds for healthcare initiatives, medical charities, research-focused organisations, and programs supporting disadvantaged children. Her background also includes work in medical research and publishing, as author of The Good Doctor Guide, and earlier roles in diplomacy and international business development. A Maltese-British national, Catherine is passionate about advancing healthcare, supporting families affected by rare diseases, mentoring young people, and promoting the arts. She brings to the POLG Foundation extensive experience in strategic partnerships, fundraising, stakeholder engagement, and advocacy.
